My Most Frustrating GW Day (so far)
Was today a bad day for everybody, or am I just that special?
Here are a couple of highlights from my day...
I was wandering around the southern Shiverpeaks when I saw a chest off in the distance, so I fought my way to it. It took quite a while to fight through the mobs guarding it, so I was sure that this chest had the game's most uber drop in it. When I finally reach the chest...
Yes, I know I'm short (BTW, I prefer the term, "vertically challenged"), but there was NO WAY to get to this chest! I wandered around and around, and it was just unreachable.
Fast-forward a few hours...
Somebody was spamming out WTS for a req 8 unid'ed fell, so I considered making an offer. It wasn't from one of the "apple" characters (this person's name sounded very un-bot-like), so I didn't think buying this fell would be supporting sweatshop farm labour. Here's the conversation:
I guess I could have switched characters and unloaded some items from the mule to get 60k, but buying that fell wasn't that important to me. I was starting to feel like I was stuck in the movie "Groundhog Day" by the end of the conversation.
FOCUS: This is not a rehash of the "biggest jerk in the game" thread (feel free to use the search button to find that one), but share your most frustrating experiences in GW...
If there are enough of us, maybe we can get some sort of 12-step support group going.
EDIT: Wow...moved to the Inn...and here I thought this topic was pointless enough to qualify for the off-topic forum...movin' on up, I say!

If that was your most frustrating day, then you were quite lucky so far..
You didnt really care about the fellblade, and still have your money(just didnt want to put enough effort in it to mule..?)
That you couldnt get the chest is weird though, there should be a way around it, just think it was a printscreen of a weird angle(if you look at your footsteps you really didnt try to run to it..?)
Not trying to be bitchy or anything, but if this is the worst day on GW, then you're so lucky you are gonna win the lotery soon

It very much looks like a sweatshop seller to me, I'd say (the unid'ed items and the fact that he clearly did not understand English).
Btw, there is a very good chance that that item was already half-identified by him. You can equip unid'ed weapons and see how they change your stats or even your damage: it is unlikely that you will get a perfect fortitude that way, though I am not sure if they will go through the trouble to ID other aspects of these weapons before selling them.
Maybe these sweatshops load up their mules and enter Gv'G friendlies versus them selves. A fer ranger/mesmers standing around would let them sort out ele-damage upgrades quickly (with the appropriate armour and mantra on each). They might even go through the trouble of sorting out what other upgrades a weapon has and if it is near perfect or perfect (which would require hitting someone for a while and typing in all the damage scores into excell or something, which can be used to see exaclty what an upgrade does). I doubt if they will take the time to do this though, but they will take out anything that looks like a perfect fortitude, I am sure.

Sucks about the chest...sounds very frustrating.
Regarding the Fellblade...you were willing to drop evey ounce of gold you had on an UnID weapon? Doesn't sound like a wise decision to me, especially given the fact you can pretty much determine what most the mods on a weapon are even before you ID it. But, maybe you live life on the edge...

I ran the Ice Caves mission dozens of times with my monk, helping pugs out and having a decent run of goldchests (runes + weapons) and have seen chests out in the icy lake more than enough times to have it tick me off!!

Or maybe that seller had trouble typing in English.

(sigh)
I was hoping this thread would turn into a funny little sharing-type thread, where we would all tell our frustrating stories and hopefully have a chuckle.
Let's try and get back on-topic...

Frustrating Day, being in SF so long and not get anything cool or high priced like Bortak Staff, Brohn Staff, Brohn Rod, Rago Staff, Drago Flatbow, Razorstone and others.
And yes all these greens i have seen it dropped for other peoples other than me.

How about "lesson well learned" borderline frustration?
5-man group in FOW all friends who trust each other. We clear out up to the forge master and our inventories are full but we haven't done the mission to unlock the "merchant-forge master" yet. So, we get this bright idea to just dump our stuff off at the forge-master. We trust each other enough to not snag stuff, that way we can pick up more drops and sell later. Sounds like a good idea right? HA! ha ha ha ha....
27 freaking armored spiders later, 4 of the 5 of us are dead and the one survivor has degen up the ***. Please oh gods of GW PLEASE let him survive...and have at least a rez sig!!!! Luckily for us, he did survive and rez the group...who all immediately went back to pick up all the stuff we just dumped!
Lesson learned.

Vertically challenged, hahahahaha
Anyway.. This is indeed the most frustrating day playing Guild Wars for me, literaly (sp?). I just found out I've ruined over 67 hours of playing time today, without knowing before. My Pre-Searing character, which is almost lvl 16 now, can't get to lvl 20 anymore. Getting to lvl 16 took me 67 hours (well, probably half, when you take off the afk hours ) and my goal cannot be reached since last patch, which I didn't know, till today. In other words, ruined time for me, my goal is to get to lvl 20, not to the maximum lvl possible (which is 16).
Stupid ANet with their stupid ideas.. (I still love you though!)

Yes today sucks very much. Our guild leader (and consequently the one keeping 50% of the people there) left us. Now we aren't sure what to do as we lost most of our PvP people, and only have a few people that actually did anything before. Chaotic to say the least.

My most frustrating day was yesterday, I think this happens to alot of players. Its the leavers
I did 5 missons and each misson somone has left, i dont know if this is becuase of err=7, but we were all getting along and there was no reason for leaving. All the missons we were doing fine, but then one person leaves, then another leaves. I've tried Aura Glad misson 3 times now becuase people leave so its jut me and two others. This has gotten me so fustrated that i am really considering if i want to continue playing GW.
